"Rising" Honored with 2nd Place in the People's Choice Award At The Artists Corner & Gallery

"Rising" has been awarded 2nd place in the People's Choice Award at The Artists Corner & Gallery in West Acton, MA.

The theme of the show is "Peace".

This lovely quote was provided as inspiration in the Artist Call For Entry:

       The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.

This is one of my favorite images. It has a lovely textural patina with a white flower rising gracefully upward -- a true symbol of hope. It is an archival limited edition print created using a modern alternative pigment transfer process. The image was created as a mixed media digital collage, made from a diverse assortment of ink wash drawings, monotypes, and textures.
